The art education collection was established in the second half of the 1980s, at the initiative of painter and art teacher Alenka Gerlovič. The collection, unparalleled in Slovenia, includes more than 100 works by 60 renowned Slovene artists, representing all forms of visual artistic expression.

It presents more than 30 different techniques, from drawing to different types of painting, printmaking and sculpture techniques. The collection is intended for a wide audience of art lovers, especially young people and their teachers, being a nice addition to the curricula of primary and secondary schools.
